Card Reader Setup

Preparation

The installation instructions apply to Wifi card readers produced after August 2018.

You have to set up the Wifi connection before using the card reader, and also prepare the following items:

  • Card reader, power cord(Micro USB) and AC Adapter for USB

  • Wifi AP and SSID/Password

Please use a separate socket power supply for the card reader. And the power supply must suppor that output a voltage of 5V and current value more than 2A to ensure the normal operation of card reader.

Optional

If you configure through the Android App, please prepare the following items

  • install App (Please download Scan2Pay App from Google Play)

  • account ID and password provided from intella(for sign in App)

Step of setting

Switch to setting mode

Press and hold the button on the back of the card reader, and then connect the USB power to the card reader. After the green indicator light is on, the card reader will enter the setting mode.

When the indicator lights up, you can release the button.

Wifi connect from mobile phone to the card reader

Open Wifi settings of mobile phone and connect to SSID: IntellaLimited -xxxx

The last four digits of SSID is identification code of card reader.

Setting method 1: Scan2Pay APP

Sign in

Launch Scan2Pay App from mobile phone, then fill in account ID and password provided from intella to sign in.

Setting

Press [Setting] and then press Easy Card Reader to open setting page.

Using SSID and Password to sign in.

In setting page, fill in SSID and Password of the wifi AP and then press [Confirm].

Setting method 2: Browser

Launch Browser

Wifi connect to IntellaLimited-xxxx, then launch browser

Link URL: 192.168.1.1

Fill in [192.168.1.1] to URL bar

Fill in SSID and Password

In setting page, fill in SSID and password of Wifi AP and press [Confirm].

Check indicator light of card reader

After the above steps are completed, the card reader will start to search and connect to the wifi AP. The indicator light will change from flashing to steady on, which means the setting is completed.

Get started

After setting, you can operate the card reader via Scan2Pay API, make deductions, refunds and other transactions.
